How often is Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) successful in treating fibroids?

Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is a less invasive treatment for uterine fibroids that involves blocking the blood flow to the fibroids. Dr. Linda Hughes, M.D. said this about the procedure’s success:

“Uterine fibroid embolization is a very successful treatment for treating women that have symptomatic fibroids. If someone is a good candidate, and an appropriate candidate, the success rate is usually between 95-98%.”

See Dr. Suzanne Slonim’s answer to this question.
